Distance and flexible learning
Distance learning provides a flexible approach to learning, allowing you to choose when and where you learn. This way you can fit your studies around professional and personal commitments.
In distance learning, all or most face-to-face teaching is replaced by other means of communication and learning resources. These may include online courses, specially commissioned learning materials, books, journal articles, audio-tapes and other resources.
International students
Distance courses are ideal for international students who don't have the time to study overseas.
Distance courses are not available to international students who want to study in Australia on an international student visa.
International students are allowed to study courses offered by distance education if they study in their home country. Short term attendance on campus for intensive sessions is acceptable on a tourist visa.
You should check the study program information or contact the Student Administration Unit to confirm that your chosen course is available to international students
Please note that study programs offered purely in distance mode do not meet CRICOS requirements and students applying/enrolled in these programs are not eligible for an international student visa.
