Vice-Chancellor's Awards

A key enabler in performance-based funding of learning and teaching are awards for excellence in teaching. The University of Sydney established the first of its suite of Teaching and Learning Awards in 1988 - the Teaching Excellence Award - in order to recognise excellence in teaching. This scheme has been reviewed twice and exists today as the Vice-Chancellor's Award for Outstanding Teaching.

At present there are three types of awards:

  1. Outstanding Teaching
  2. Support of the Student Experience
  3. Excellence in Research Higher Degree Supervision
