Governance

The University is a public body that operates under a NSW Act of Parliament, the University of Sydney Act 1989. This legislation sets out the constitution, function and other duties of the University. 

Our governance structure is designed to reflect the fact that we are a large and diverse organisation with responsibilities to a broad range of stakeholders.
