Established in 1954, we're responsible for the care and preservation of University records with permanent value. This includes the records of the Senate, Academic Board and the University's many administrative offices.
Additionally, we hold the records of the institutions which have amalgamated with the University, such as:
We also house a collection of University photographs and publications, as well as a significant collection of personal archives closely associated with the University. These include the records of anthropologists AR Radcliffe Brown, AP Elkin, HIP Hogbin and Camilla Wedgwood – which are listed on the UNESCO Australian Memory of the World register as the Department of Anthropology field research and teaching notes, 1926-1956.
