Global English responds to our globally connected world by developing and improving students' English skills and 21st century skills. The new and innovative language course creates a meaningful learning environment by connecting the outside world with the classroom.
Focusing on CET's 4:2:1 model of learning, the course combines in-class, real-world and digital activities suitable for a large range of students with a desire to develop confidence in authentic social and professional contexts in Australia and abroad.
Global English uses technology and immersive experiences in its curriculum to support the learning process and develop student’s digital literacy skills. The course focuses on project-based learning through teamwork projects to deepen learning experiences and prepares students with global workforce skills.
The course’s learning outcomes are divided in 3 categories:
“We are extremely excited to launch this unique student experience! Global English helps students transfer what they learn in the classroom into future contexts. Students are empowered to become autonomous learners. Global English is based on a seasonal design which means that students are able to experience life in Sydney as part of the curriculum”, said Ben Carkagis, CET's Professional Pathways Manager and learning designer for Global English.
Enrolments are now open for Global English. The course, starting from January 2018, is accessible to pre-intermediate to advanced level of English for a minimum of 2 week enrolment.
