Students can choose to study this course for 2 to 50 teaching weeks.
Course duration is dependent on your current English level and the level you wish to achieve. The minimum course duration is two weeks.
Studying this course as a group
Open classes
Minimum 2 weeks.
Private group classes
Minimum 1 week for a minimum of 20 students.
Minimum 2 weeks for a minimum of 15 students.
Note: This course is currently suspended until further notice.
This is an ongoing course with nine intakes per year. The course is studied in 11-week blocks.
Alternatively, you can join an ongoing course on any Monday.
Studying this course as a group
You can choose to sign up for this course as a group with one of the options below:
- Open classes where your group will be integrated into one of our existing classes.
- Private group classes where your group will have your own private classes. This requires a minimum of 15 or 20 students depending on course duration.

Entry requirements
You will need a minimum English level of IELTS 5.0 or equivalent.
We will place you in a class according to your current and most recent IELTS score or equivalent, or your score on the CET Placement Test.

Fee information
Tuition fee: A$450 per week + additional test fees as applicable
Admin fee: A$300
Materials fee: A$100 + A$10 for each week of study
Studying this course as a group (fees per student)
Open classes: A$1440 for two weeks, A$460 per week thereafter
Private group classes: A$1000 for one week, A$1440 for two weeks, A$460 per week thereafter

Credit card surcharges
Payments made by credit card (Visa or Mastercard) will incur a 1.53% surcharge.
Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC)
If you intend to study under a student visa, you will need Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC).
CET can arrange OSHC for you with Bupa as part of the application process. Simply indicate the type of insurance required (single/couples/single parent/ family) on step 2 of the application form.
