The University of Sydney Exchange Program provides you with the exciting opportunity to add an international perspective to your education at an Australian university with a reputation for excellence in teaching and research. You can complete a research period of one or two semesters under the supervision of a University of Sydney academic staff member on a non-award basis.
You will receive an official University of Sydney academic transcript at the end of your study period to confirm that you were enrolled at the University of Sydney.
Tuition fee waiver applies to students from official university exchange partners. You can visit our Global Mobility database to find out if your home institution is one of our exchange partners.
Specialisations are not applicable with non-award courses but most students will study units in areas that they are studying at their home institution when enrolled in semester and year-long programs.

Application Deadlines:
Semester 1: 30 November of the previous year. Semester 2: 30 April of the same year. We strongly encourage applicants to apply as early as possible, offers are made on a rolling basis. Late applications may be considered on a case by case basis. Please refer to the Application deadlines on the Sydney Abroad website.
Discuss your research plans with your home university supervisor. Once you have approval, establish contact with an appropriate supervisor at the University of Sydney.
This course is currently not available to domestic students.

If you are a citizen of Australia and New Zealand or a permanent residents of Australia living overseas and you would like to studyabroad at the University of Sydney you should apply for admission as a local non-award student.
