Honours subject area

An honours year in Advanced Computing will help you develop deep analytical skills in the fundamental and applied areas of computer science.

You'll enhance your existing computing skills by learning cutting-edge research in areas such as algorithms, machine learning, systems, networking, security, human computer interaction, information systems and service computing.

An honours year in Industrial Research is undertaken in line with the Engineering Sydney Industry Placement Scholarship (ESIPS). It is designed to enrich your learning through a six-month on-the-job experience as part of an industry team under the guidance of an industry mentor and academic supervisor.

Over the course of a six-month full-time industry placement, each student involved in the program undertakes a high-level investigative project, based on the needs of their partner organisation. The outcomes of this project will ultimately be presented to the partner organisation.
