As a lead mentor, you’ll work closely with faculty/school teams to support mentors. Lead mentor responsibilities may include:

• monitoring program engagement and regularly checking in with mentors
• contributing to organising and facilitating events
• assisting to create resources and communications for mentors
• providing feedback and assisting with program improvements.

Lead mentors work closely with faculty/school teams, who will be available to guide you and help with any questions you have.

To be a lead mentor, you must:

• be currently enrolled as an undergraduate or postgraduate student in your second year of study or above
• have previous experience as a mentor
• have strong leadership, communication and organisational skills
• have no record of academic or general misconduct
• be willing and able to fulfil your lead mentor commitments.

Lead mentors are usually recruited between August and October each year, though timing can vary by faculty or school. We recommend applying whenever you're interested, as your faculty or school may recruit outside of these months.

Lead mentors undergo a selection process, including an interview. You will be contacted by your faculty or school with information about next steps during the next lead mentor intake.
