Major

You will complete the core health sciences major, introducing the foundations of the discipline, approaches to research, health determinants and interventions, and health care resources and systems in first year. You will also undertake core junior units of study in biology and psychology and units from another subject area which will provide the prerequisites to commence your second major. Over second and third years, you will complete a sequence of senior units of study in health sciences which include health and Indigenous populations, health service strategy and policy, health, ethics and the law, and evidence-based health care.

About this major

In first year, you will complete 24 credit points (cp) in health sciences, 6cp of psychology, 6cp of biology, and 12cp of elective units of study. In second and third years, you will complete at least 24cp from a sequence of senior units of study in health sciences.
