In response to COVID-19, the University of Sydney has reviewed the availability of courses to be delivered remotely for students commencing their studies in 2022.

Students commencing this course in 2022 are required to commence their studies in-person on campus. Remote study is not available for this course. Applicants will be eligible for admission only if they are able to demonstrate they are physically present in Australia on the date specified in the offer made to them by the University.

A specialisation in Applied Medical Science will deepen your understanding and understanding of human health and the mechanisms of diseases, their diagnosis, prevention and treatment. 

The ability to apply theory to practice in medical science is essential for professionals addressing major global health issues, such as mental health and neurodegenerative diseases, obesity, diabetes, cardiovascular disease, infections, cancer and auto-inflammatory disease.

You will learn the strategies by which medical science theory is translated into tangible health outcomes.
