Specialisation

Our Engineering Aerodynamics specialisation will provide you with the essential skills to analyse and model a flowfield around an aircraft or helicopter using computational fluid dynamics models and first principle methods.

This specialisation will also provide you with an insight into the behaviour of aircraft when flexibility is included as well as help you understand how to correlate experimental and computational data.

Graduate opportunities

As a graduate of our Engineering Aerodynamics specialisation, you will have the specialist skills to test aerospace designs, such as aircraft bodies and propulsion systems, to ensure they meet all aerodynamic specifications and conform to the physical laws of aerodynamics.

You may wish to pursue a career as part of a conceptual design team involved in the detail design of new aircraft, or other opportunities including flight testing, working for Formula 1 teams or any number of computational fluid dynamics (CFD) analysis roles.
