India Study Tour - Emerging Market Strategy - BUSS2345

This unit of study provides a broad overview of the competitive dynamics in emerging markets via an experiential learning opportunity that includes an in-country field trip to India. Students attend classes of Indian faculty members and business leaders in one of the premier management institutes in India. Students also visit several leading Indian businesses and/or Indian businesses that are operating internationally (including in Australia) to interact with some of their senior management. Additionally, students also visit different business ventures to further contextualize the program learning outcomes as developing professionals and practitioners for career objectives and plans.

2 week intensive. 8 x 3 hrs lecture/workshops and 5 x 3hrs company visit

Additional information
This unit will be available to all Business Students only. Employability skills: students will enhance their agility, having a positive mind-set during complexity, manage complexity, interpersonal, resilience and articulating a distinctive professional identity that meets the future of work via a global appreciation of how business occurs in India.

Assumed knowledge
Basic understanding of global business and culture


Completion of at least 48 credit points (including BUSS1000) with a minimum WAM of 50%.
