Histories of Place: Australia and Beyond - HSTY3715

This unit offers students the opportunity to understand the centrality of place in recent Australian historical writing. Beginning with an overview of some of the key writings on place internationally, the unit will explore local and regional histories in every state and territory in Australia.

2x1hr lecture/week, 1x1hr tutorial/week.

Participation (10%), 1 x 1000wd Literature of place review (20%), 1 x 3500wd Major research essay (70%)
