Do you coordinate a large, first-year undergraduate or postgraduate unit? The Track and Connect program is back again in Semester 1 2019, entering its thirteenth cycle.

Track and Connect is a proactive retention strategy designed to increase student engagement and success during the transition to tertiary study. It provides students with key information about support services and resources, while also providing detailed de-identified feedback and statistics for unit coordinators.

Track and Connect connects senior student callers with first year students at three key points in the semester to track student progress. Callers gather feedback on the student experience and offer referrals to support services such as Financial Assistance, Counselling and Psychological Services, the Learning Centre and Disability Services. All students in participating units are also provided with information about key dates and support resources via email.

If you think that the Track and Connect program might be helpful to your students and you’d like more information about the program, please contact Lakia Turner, Student Retention Coordinator on [email protected].
