Coursework

The Department of Art History and Film Studies offers postgraduate coursework degrees in art history, art curatorship and film studies.

Coursework degrees in art history build a thorough foundation in the study of the visual and filmic arts, as well as specialist expertise in areas of interest. There is a strong emphasis on developing advanced critical and communications skills, while gaining a deeper understanding of specific subject areas. There are no compulsory units, allowing you to build your own study pathways. Some of the units of study available for this degree include: Australian Art: A World Upside Down; Art Writing; Film Theory: Art, Industry, Culture; and Curating Asian Art.
