Candidates for the Graduate Certificate in Health Communication must complete 24 credit points, including 12 credit points of core units of study and 12 credit points of elective units of study.
Candidates for the Graduate Diploma in Health Communication must complete 48 credit points, including 24 credit points of core units of study and 24 credit points of elective units of study.
Candidates for the Master of Health Communication must complete 72 credit points, including 24 credit points of core units of study, a maximum of 42 credit points of elective units of study and at least 6 credit points of capstone units of study.

Students who have not done the core units of study in epidemiology (PUBH5010 or CEPI5100) or biostatistics (PUBH5018) but have previous demonstrable experience in these study areas will be required to request permission from the unit of study coordinator to enrol in this unit of study. Permission is required to ensure that students have a basic grounding in epidemiology and biostatistics. The coordinator emails the Postgraduate Student Administration Unit to advise whether or not the student has permission to enrol.
