Critically evaluate  research, both quantitative and qualitative, and demonstrate the ability to engage in enquiry orientated activities to support decision making at beginning level practice.

Demonstrate information literacy proficiency in searching out  knowledge required for critical thinking and problem solving  in nursing practice from the biological, medical, social sciences, humanities and arts perspective.

Display leadership through the use of personal, professional, intellectual and creative autonomy and demonstrate accountability and responsibility that is embedded in the nursing role.

Evaluate disciplinary knowledge and practice across specified areas of nursing in the therapeutic care of patients.

Work within professional, legal and ethical  frameworks relevant to  the nursing profession  and take responsibility for their own actions.

Share professional nursing practice expertise and knowledge when working collaboratively in interdisciplinary contexts.

Identify and explore cultural differences, values and beliefs of the individual or group to the culturally diverse nature of contemporary Australian society.

Appraise social, global and environmental responsibilities within the healthcare context and the  impact of these on the roles and responsibilities of nurses.

Demonstrate proficient use of communication as a tool for negotiating and interacting with others and make effective use of oral, written, visual and digital means to  communicate understanding.

Exercise clinical judgement based on a sound ability to critique nursing knowledge and practices.

Demonstrate capability as a  beginning practitioner to engage effectively in the therapeutic care of patients.

Demonstrate a depth of disciplinary knowledge in at least one field in the arts, humanities and/or social sciences by applying discipline-based expertise to research, project, and work-based problems.
