Learning Outcomes

Learning outcomes articulate the specific achievements in skill, knowledge and application necessary to demonstrate graduate qualities in a particular discipline acquired by students upon completion of a unit of study, a major, program, award course, or other curriculum component. They are aligned with the University’s Graduate Qualities and are assessed as part of the curriculum.

Undergraduate award courses are designed to develop and assess the acquisition of the graduate qualities that the University has agreed are necessary to contribute effectively to contemporary society. These are achieved through a structured program, including learning outcomes of specific relevance to the particular award or discipline. These graduate qualities are described in the University’s Learning and Teaching Policy 2015 7(4)
