Development Studies

Candidates for the Graduate Certificate in Development Studies must complete 24 credit points, including a minimum of 12 credit points of core units of study and a maximum of 12 credit points of elective units of study.
Candidates for the Graduate Diploma in Development Studies must complete 48 credit points, including 24 credit points of core units of study, a minimum of 6 credit points of core elective units of study and 18 credit points of elective units of study.
Candidates for the Master of Development Studies must complete 72 credit points, including 24 credit points of core units of study, a minimum of 6 credit points of core elective units of study, a maximum of 30 credit points of elective units of study, including an optional specialisation, and a minimum of 6 credit points of capstone units of study.

Students must satisfy any prerequisite requirements set by the offering Department or Centre, as well as any prerequisites set by individual units of study, before they enrol in any unit of study.
With the permission of the Degree Coordinator, a maximum of 12 credit points can be taken as elective units from units of study outside those listed in the Development Studies subject area of the Postgraduate Unit of Study table, including a maximum of 6 credit points from units of study offered by other faculties.
