Admission requirements

Admission to the:

  • Graduate Certificate in Medicine (Internal Medicine)
  • Graduate Diploma in Medicine (Internal Medicine)
  • Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine)

requires a medical degree and current medical registration in an Australian or New Zealand jurisdiction and current or prior employment as a medical practitioner in a clinical setting in an Australian or New Zealand jurisdiction.

Admission to the:

  • Master of Medicine (Advanced) (Internal Medicine)

requires the student to have completed the requirements of the Master’s program with an average mark of at least 75 percent in 24 credit points of compulsory or stream specific units of study.

Course structure

The Graduate Certificate requires the successful completion of 24 credit points of stream specific units of study.

The Graduate Diploma requires the successful completion of 36 credit points of units of study including:

  • 6 credit points of compulsory units of study;
  • 24 credit points of stream specific units of study; and
  • 6 credit points of stream specific or general elective units of study.

The Master requires the successful completion of 48 credit points of units of study including:

  • 12 credit points of compulsory units of study;
  • 24 credit points of stream specific units of study; and
  • 12 credit points of stream specific or general elective units of study.

The Master (Advanced) requires the successful completion of 60 credit points of units of study including:

  • 48 credit points of study as required for the Master; and
    12 credit points of project units of study.
