Animal Health, Disease and Welfare

Honours

Honours in Animal Health, Disease and Welfare is a 36-credit point component embedded in the Bachelor of Advanced Studies. It is an integrated program involving a 24-credit point research project and two 6-credit point units of advanced coursework in topics of applied animal science related to animal health, disease and welfare and other units that will develop research skills.

A further 12-credit points of coursework is required to complete the degree requirements for the Bachelor of Science/Bachelor of Advanced Studies, if not completed already, these could be used to complete a second major.

Honours is available to students who have completed a major in an area relevant to their project and met the requirements outlined in the resolutions. Admittance into the program is determined by the Faculty of Science as well as the honours coordinator.
