Engineering Aerodynamics specialisation

Students in the Aeronautical stream or Aeronautical (Space) stream must complete 18 credit points to achieve this specialisation.

Rotary Wing Aircraft
6 A Prior Learning: concepts from 3000 level Aerodynamics and Flight Mechanics will be applied to Rotary Wing Vehicles in this unit

Computational Fluid Dynamics
6 A Partial differential equations; Finite difference methods; Taylor series; Basic fluid mechanics including pressure, velocity, boundary layers, separated and recirculating flows. Basic computer programming skills

[(MECH3261 AND AMME2000) OR (AERO3260 AND AMME2000)] OR ENGG5202 OR MECH8261
AERO4260 may be taken within the specialisation in addition to the units taken as Core Extension. It may not count toward both requirements.
