Honours in Chemistry is a one-year component embedded within the Bachelor of Advanced Studies. Students undertake a 36-credit point research project that address a contemporary chemical problem in one of four themes. Functional energy materials, self-assembled nanomaterials, molecular innovations in health or chemistry education and communication. The research gives students to the latest technologies. Students also complete two 6-credit point coursework units that will aid in the development of their fundamental research and communication skills
Honours in Chemistry is available to students with a major in chemistry or a cognate area that is relevant to the project. Admittance into the program is determined by the Faculty of Science as well as the chemistry honours coordinator.
