International House is delighted to announce Denise North and Lyn Woodger-Grant as Fellows of the House. Denise and Lyn will be formally inducted as Fellows at the upcoming Fellows' Lunch reception on Sunday 1 December.
A Fellowship acknowledges outstanding contributions to the House and an ongoing committment to fostering international friendship and understanding.
In addition to being residents, both Lyn and Denise have given back to the House in their capacities on the SUIHAA Committee and IH Council respectively.
Lyn Woodger-Grant (IH 1971-72) is a highly lauded artist having been nominated for the Archibald, Wynne and Sulman Prizes. Lyn made substantial contributions to the 50th Anniversary Art Exhibition held in the Wool Room in 2017 and was involved in fundraising for the Bo Children’s Hospital in her early years and a SUIHAA Committee member.
An energetic and strategic non-executive director with broad experience across a range of corporate structures and industry sectors, Denise North (IH 1980-81) has held positions as Chair of the IH Council and President of SUIHHA. On her retirement from the position of Chair of Council, she was the longest serving appointee, and has continued to support the International House community since with resident mentoring and attendance at numerous events and celebrations.
The International House community congratulates both Denise and Lyn, and we look forward to celebrating their achievements at Fellows' Lunch.
