Heat and Health Research Incubator

Reducing the health impacts of extreme heat and hot weather
We’re a multi-disciplinary team of researchers striving to understand the causative pathways of – and develop evidence-based solutions for – the health impacts of heat exposure across the human lifespan.

Our purpose is to build resilience to a warming planet across the human lifespan by undertaking research that understands the underlying mechanisms of heat vulnerability. We also aim to develope and implement evidence-based sustainable adaptive solutions to optimally manage the heat-health risk of people in our five priority research areas:

  • Maternal and Child Health
  • Physical Activity, Sport and Occupational Health
  • Ageing and Chronic Diseases
  • Landscapes and the Built Environment
  • Humanitarian Settings
