Laparoscopic appendicectomy and cholecystectomy workshop

Specially designed to supplement the Surgical Skills Network training program, this course will help you master laparoscopic cholecystectomy and appendicectomy.

Course overview

The course is for surgical trainees (Pre-SET trainees and SET trainees) and is useful for those who have minimal laparoscopic skills, but will also benefit surgical trainees who would like to develop advanced laparoscopic skills. You must have a medical degree and an interest in surgery.

The two-day course will involve:

  • video-facilitated lectures and tutorials
  • simple and complex examples of the procedures
  • a one-hour individual practical session with LAP Mentor simulator.

Course fees

$600 (incl. GST), includes refreshments and lunch.

Course structure
  • Saturday: 9am to 4pm. 
  • Sunday: individual Lap Mentor simulator sessions. A booking form will be available prior to the course.
