The University has appointed a head contractor (FDC Construction & Fitout) through a competitive tender process for the design and construction of the Chau Chak Wing Museum.
The lead consultant is architect Johnson Pilton Walker (JPW), which has been retained by the contractor to complete and coordinate all design-related works.
FDC Construction has commenced with site mobilisation and site establishment.
The University has appointed Ellen Wayland as the Precinct Delivery Manager, Kate Bimson as the Project Director and Christopher Burns as the Project Manager. It is anticipated that practical completion of the museum building will be achieved during the first quarter of 2020, with an opening expected mid-2020 after University Museums have completed our curating and fit-out of exhibition displays.
