From gladiators to emperors, from centurions to Caesars we know all about ancient Rome. Or do we? In this school holiday workshop for primary school-aged children we invite you to become a citizen of Rome and discover the true story of ancient Rome.
Experience expert-led activities, including arts and craft creations (such as creating your own Roman Chariot drivers licence, and Roman god and goddess colouring activities), and learn some new Latin words.
Visit Lego Pompeii and get up close and personal with ancient Roman objects from the museum collection.
Eat lunch like a Roman at Sounds Cafe afterwards.

Become an entomologist and learn more about the world of insects. Get up close to some of the more than 300,000 specimens from the museum collection, from scarab beetles to some of our spiders and weevils.
Complete worksheets and arts and craft exercises with our experts for a fun and informative session to learn about the important role insects play in our world and in human history.
Sound Café will be open for lunch after the workshop.
