Are Chinese investors responsible for driving up property prices? This panel tests the myths, drivers, politics and data on Chinese real estate investment in Australia.

Hans Hendrischke is the Professor of Chinese Business and Management at the University of Sydney. Hans lived in China from 1979 working for the diplomatic service and the finance industry. He is a leading researcher, institutional economist and author of China's Economy in the 21st Century: Enterprise and Business Behaviour.

Dr Dallas Rogers is an Urban Studies Lecturer at the University of Western Sydney. In 2015, Dallas won the prestigious Federal Minister's Award for Early Career Housing Researcher for his study on the politics of Chinese investment in Australian housing. Dallas writes and speaks on urban and housing policy. His radio documentary 'Searching for the Mousetribe, in the Confucian City' is available online for the duration of the Festival of Urbanism.

Sha Liu is currently undertaking her PhD research with the Urban Housing Lab at The University of Sydney. With an economic background and nearly five-year's research working experience in multinational real estate consultancy companies stationed in China, she has particular interests in China's housing policies and Chinese outward foreign investment in real estate. Sha's current research topic is 'Analysing the Impact of China's Recent Domestic Housing Policies on the Global Real Estate Market'.
