Becoming a healthcare professional: gender, ethnicity, diversity

This research opportunity has a broad scope in terms of the exact trajectory of your PhD

Professor Lynn Valerie Monrouxe.

Health Sciences - Generic

Program type

Of particular interest is the multitude of experiences of ‘minority’ groups of healthcare students - including those from different cultural backgrounds, different socioeconomic backgrounds, those with different belief systems and ethics, those who identify within the LGBTQ+ community, and so on. This topic around diversity and ‘becoming’ a healthcare professional is ever more important to understand as we move forwards into an interdisciplinary world in which we seek to learn with, by and about others. Your PhD will also be interdisciplinary, engaging critically with a range of feminist, gender and cultural studies from across the social sciences.
