Unlocking the neural interface with synthetic synapses


Neuromorphic nanowire synthetic synapses will be integrated into a microelectrode array device to interface with retinal neuronal tissue to demonstrate proof-of-concept of vision repair and restoration. This project is part of the Sydney Nano Grand Challenge Unlocking the Neural Interface.

Additional supervisor for this project is Professor Gregg Suaning, he is a Professor of Biomedical Engineering at the School of Biomedical Engineering University of Sydney.

  • Hold a current Working with Children Check;
  • Meet initial and ongoing immunisation requirements (e.g. Q-Fever, Vaccinia virus, Hepatitis, etc.)
