Anterior cruciate ligament tear is a serious yet preventable athletic injury. Emerging evidence suggests that athletes at high risk for knee injury demonstrate poor trunk control, high knee valgus, side-to-side asymmetries and muscle imbalances. In this project, athletes demonstrating these deficits will be identified and enrolled in injury prevention programs. Clinical, biomechanical and epidemiological methods will be used to evaluate the effectiveness of the injury prevention programs.
