Synopsis

This project will carry out fundamental and applied research in the field of materials engineering and structural engineering. The research will comprise field and laboratory experiments as well as advanced computer simulations. The final goal is to develop innovative structural systems and materials that can use as composites in different applications such as energy absorbers and protective shields. Examples: auxetic materials, nano-enhanced polymer, multilayered composites
