There is currently no evidence source (in Australia or globally) that has appraised and summarised the evidence on the efficacy and safety of common pain drugs to treat pain in one document. Existing systematic reviews tend to focus on one drug and one pain condition. What is lacking is a comprehensive overview, or ‘Pain Medicines Road Map', which ‘brings it all together'.
