About Dr Stuart Fraser

Blood is essential for life. Our research focuses upon the mechanisms that regulate blood cell production in the developing embryo and how these processes may go awry during disease.

Dr Stuart Fraser has recently joined the School of Medicine as lecturer having spent the past 6 years as Assistant Professor at the Mount Sinai School of Medicine in New York City.
Dr Fraser has supervised numerous graduate students in the US, Germany and Japan and has international experience in the fields of embryonic stem cell biology, developmental hematopoiesis and red blood cell development.
