About Professor Edward Holmes

Professor Edward Holmes is an evolutionary biologist who has spent most of his scientific career undertaking research aimed at revealing the principle patterns and processes of viral evolution and emergence.

Professor Edward Holmes is an ARC Australian Laureate Fellow at the School of Life and Environmental Sciences.  He is also a member of The Charles Perkins Centre and Marie Bashir Institute for Infectious Deseases and Biosecurity.
