About Dr Derrick Roberts

Dr Roberts' work is in designing self-assembled molecular materials that can undergo controlled morphological transformations (e.g. discrete polymer vesicles transforming into gel networks) in response to external signals (e.g. light, biochemical cues).

His research employs supramolecular and dynamic covalent interactions to explore self-assembly phenomena spanning from small molecule recognition (metal-ligand coordination, halogen bonding) up to microphase separation of block copolymers.
