About Professor Iver Cairns

His primary interests are in the theory, simulation, and observation of plasma waves, radio emissions, shocks, and associated space weather produced in the solar atmosphere, inner solar wind, planetary magnetospheres, the distant heliosphere, and the local interstellar medium. In addition, though, He has strong interests in CubeSats, UAVs, and their Applications, as Director of the ARC Training Centre CUAVA, and so am training people, performing research, and addressing commercialisation opportunities in CubeSat and UAV systems (including plasma thrusters), sensors / instruments, and applications across remote sensing, GNSS, and space weather.
