About Associate Professor Celeste Black

I am excited by the examination of the interplay of environmental law and taxation law and the impact of law on animals.

Ms Black is an Associate Professor at Sydney Law School and a leading researcher in Carbon Pricing and Tax and in Animal Law.

Ms Black is a member of the Parsons Centre of Commercial, Corporate and Taxation Law and the Australian Centre for Climate and Environmental Law.  Her research interests in relation to taxation law and environmental law has particular emphasis on the taxation implications of emissions trading schemes and carbon tax regimes.  Ms Black also conducts a research program in Animal Law and is an Executive and Founding Member of the Human Animal Research Network here at Sydney University.  In the Animal Law field, her research currently focusses on animals in the wild and animals and climate change.
