About Associate Professor Damien Higgins

A/Prof Damien Higgins’ main interest is in wildlife immunopathology and disease ecology. In particular, he is interested in how the way we manage the environment and the animals in it affects the susceptibility of our wildlife to diseases, which can be of importance in conservation, public health and agriculture.

A/Prof Damien Higgins takes a broad, holistic view of wildlife health that encompasses the comparative study of the interactions between hosts, their agents of disease and the environment.

A/Prof Damien Higgins is a researcher at the Sydney School of Veterinary Science and a member of the Sydney Institute of Agriculture.
