About Professor Louis Rendina

Our research group has a strong interest in the medicinal chemistry of p-block (e.g. boron) and f-block (e.g. gadolinium) elements, with an emphasis on new drug design for the treatment of intractable and aggressive cancers, particularly those of the brain. In recent years, we have made considerable advances in the design and development of medicinal agents for neutron and X-ray photon applications. The projects outlined below would ideally suit those students who have an interest in medicinal chemistry and synthetic inorganic and organic chemistry. No organoboron or lanthanide chemistry experience is assumed.

Professor Rendina is a researcher in the School of Chemistry. For more information about Professor Rendina, please refer to his Academic Profile Online.
