About Associate Professor William Figueira

Marine fishes are a large and diverse group of organisms with highly varied and complex life histories. As a population biologist this complexity is intriguing and challenging as the behaviours of individual fishes in response to their environment can have ramifications for very large-scale population dynamics. Understanding the myriad of complex biological and oceanographic factors which drive the population biology of marine fishes is the central theme of Associate Professor Will Figueira's research.

Will Figueira is an Associate Professor in Marine Animal Biology at the School of Life and Environmental Sciences. He is also the Director of the One Tree Island Research Station
