Perception of facial reflections by patients with facial nerve paralysis

Have you wondered how you observe, feel, react to your facial reflections such as when you are looking into the mirror? Our study aims to investigate your reactions to looking at your facial reflections.


You are invited to participate in a study: PERCEPTION OF FACIAL REFLECTIONS AND QUALITY OF LIFE FOLLOWING FACIAL NERVE PARALYSIS. This is a 4th Year Physiotherapy Honours Project conducted by Si Xing Quah who is supervised by Dr Susan Coulson from the University of Sydney, Faculty of Medicine and Health.

Eligibility

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

  • have OR have not had a facial nerve paralysis
  • Are 18 years of age or above
  • Sufficient proficiency in English language to understand, consent and complete the questionnaire
