Social connection and its effect on health

We want to hear about your experiences of living with a long-term health condition and feeling socially connected.

We are conducting a study to gain a better understanding of the experiences of feeling socially connected, belonging and loneliness of people living with a long-term health condition (such as chronic fatigue, fibromyalgia, chronic pain, asthma, arthritis, obesity, diabetes etc.).

If you are interested in taking part, we would like to interview you for about an hour on your experiences of health, social relationships and supports. We will ask to interview you on another two occasions in the next 6 months.

If you choose to participate, you will be reimbursed in recognition of your time.

Eligibility

You may be eligible to participate in this study if you:

  • Are over 18 years of age
  • Have been diagnosed with a long-term physical health condition and who would like to share their story
