The convergence of DSM-5 Personality Traits and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy Constructs

Investigating the relationship between personality traits and the specific skills that are developed through psychotherapy.

You are invited to take part in our study investigating the relationship between personality traits and the specific skills that are developed through psychotherapy. Specifically, the current study aims to determine the degree to which personality traits align with the skills targeted in a specific type of psychotherapy known as 'Dialectical Behaviour Therapy.’ We anticipate that by uncovering associations between personality traits and specific therapeutic skills, the clinical utility of using such traits in future case conceptualisations will be highlighted. Ultimately, this may assist clinicians in their individualised treatment of psychological issues.

You will be asked to complete a series of questionnaires including basic demographic questions, through an online survey platform called Qualtrics. After the completion of the study, you have the option of being entered into the running for the chance to win one of four $25 Westfield Vouchers.
