In the 2018 NSW Netball Dooleys Metro League fifteen of eighteen rounds of regular season action have been played. Following a fantastic season in 2017, Inner Western Suburbs were promoted to second division where they have continued to assert their dominance.

Locked in a battle at the top with Manly, both teams are sitting on fourteen wins apiece. The only loss for each team is at the hands of one another. With an average win margin of 19 goals the group are making a good case for promotion into Division One for next season while also contesting for the minor premiership.

Sydney University Netball Club entered in a partnership with the Inner Western Suburbs Netball Association in 2017 enabling the club to have four teams registered in the Metro League Competition.

Along with Team One, Team Two have had fantastic results so far this season. Competing in Division Three, after winning the Division Four title last year, they are currently placed on top of the table with 13 wins and only one loss. The only team who look to challenge them for the minor premiership is Randwick who are also sitting on 28 points on the table. Identical to Team One, Team Two also has an impressive average win margin of 19 goals.

Team Three are competing in fourth division and will not qualify for finals currently sitting on four wins and nine losses while Team Four in sixth division have 12 wins and three losses and sit in second.
