Master of Management
Fast track your business career in just 1 year.
Our Master of Management program is similar in style to an MBA, but for a younger market. In just one year, you will develop the skills that businesses demand, regardless of your previous experience or undergraduate area of study.
This degree is specifically designed for recent graduates from any area of study.
This degree is designed for those seeking a dynamic business career, who want to gain experience in the essential areas of business, from strategy to digital innovation.
No prior work experience is needed and graduates from any area of study are encouraged to apply.
You will be part of a hand-picked group of around 50 students who work together in an inspiring environment.
The degree is a 60 credit point (12 months full-time or 2 years part-time) pre-experience program that will equip you with the skills and knowledge necessary for a career in management in your chosen field.
You will develop the skills that businesses demand in their future leaders by working directly with companies and in highly interactive learning environments.
Some of our graduates have gone on to work at Deloitte, EY, Google, Vodaphone, NAB, Woolworths, Oracle, IBM and AppNexus.

Scholarships:
University of Sydney Business School Master of Management Scholarship
To be considered for admission, an applicant is required to have:
- an Australian bachelor's degree or higher with a credit average (65 percent) or equivalent qualification or
- an Australian bachelor's degree or higher with less than a credit average (minimum 50 percent required), and satisfactory performance in the GMAT (for guidance, the class average score is 630) or equivalent Business School approved admissions test.
For qualifications awarded outside Australia, equivalencies and admission criteria are determined based on the country, institution and qualification.

- A statement of motivation (maximum two pages) outlining what you hope to achieve professionally and personally by completing the Master of Management program

Step 3: Motivational Video
If you meet the entry requirements you will be contacted to submit a short motivational video to assess your suitability for the program.
Step 4: Outcome
The result of your application will be communicated via the online application portal.
Master of Management (CEMS)
Graduate with 2 degrees in 1.5 years.
We are the only university in Australia to offer this program, which enables you to complete the CEMS Master in International Management program as part of your Master of Management degree.
If you are from a business background, the Master of Management (CEMS) will open doors for you internationally.
You will spend at least one semester at a CEMS network University where you will gain valuable cross cultural experience whilst undertaking study and business experience.

The University of Sydney is the only university in Australia to offer this program, and we are the only business school in Australia and the first non-European institution to be admitted as a member of CEMS. Upon completion of this program students will graduate with two degrees:

The Master of Management (CEMS) is a 72 credit point degree (three semesters of full time study) pre-experience program.
What is CEMS?
CEMS is a global alliance of leading business schools, multinational companies and NGOs jointly delivering a pre-experience Master’s in Management programme that prepares future generations of responsible leaders. CEMS was founded in 1988 and there are currenetly 34 CEMS Member Schools and a presence on every continent.

A wide variety of host organisations have partnered with the Business School and engaged in our projects to date, including Commonwealth Bank of Australia, Deloitte, KPMG, PwC, EY, HILTI, National Australia Bank, Virgin Mobile and Westpac.
Our multi-national corporate partners include Electrolux, Thomson Reuters, SAP, Symantec and L'Oreal. Our other national corporate partners are Bluestar, DC Strategy and Futurestep.
We have also partnered with not for profit organisations such as Future Direction Network, The Smith Family and Fitted for Work.

- an Australian bachelor's degree or higher in a related discipline with less than a credit average (minimum 50 percent required) or equivalent qualification, and satisfactory performance in the GMAT (for guidance, the class average score is 630) or equivalent Business School approved admissions test.
Applicants must also fulfil the following criteria:
- Complete a selection interview
- Provide a statement of motivation
- Provide a recent resume / CV
- Meet the below CEMS MIM language requirements:
- Australian citizens: From 2023 Australian citizens will be exempt from the CEMS language requirements (they will be admitted based on English as a mother tongue). As part of the program, these students will be required to learn a second and third language to a beginner/elementary level. Please note that the CEMS language requirement is an exit requirement and must be completed prior to graduation.
- International students: Must be fluent in a minimum of two languages, one of which can be English. If a student's mother tongue is not English then they will not be required to undertake language testing, unless they wish to. If a student's mother tongue is English then they will be required to undertake language testing in their second language. As part of the program, students will be required to undertake a third language to a beginner/elementary level. Please note that the CEMS language requirement is an exit requirement and must be completed prior to graduation.

Students enrolled in the Master of Management (CEMS) degree and CEMS students on an exchange are encouraged to join the CEMS Club Sydney.
