Perform with one of our highly regarded ensembles
As part of your performance degree, you will have the opportunity to learn from our renowned conductors on repertoire that is both exciting to perform and fundamental to your development as a professional ensemble musician.

Our ensembles regularly tour regionally and across Australia and have travelled to various international conferences, festivals and summer schools, including the Midwest Clinic in Chicago and the Estivo European Chamber Music Summer School in Verona, Italy. Our choirs have sung in some of Europe's most beautiful churches, including London's Westminster Abbey and Notre Dame Cathedral in Paris.

You will have the opportunity to participate in a range of large orchestral style ensembles including:

  • Symphony Orchestra
  • Wind Symphony
  • Modern Music Ensemble
  • Early Music Ensemble
  • Opera Orchestra
  • one of our five jazz big bands/orchestra.
Many of our ensembles are electives and open to students across the Conservatorium and the broader University.
