KeraClub

A community event for people living with keratoconus, their families and friends
This event gives people living with keratoconus the opportunity to speak with doctors and optometrists who specialise in the condition, learn from researchers on the latest developments and participate in discussions among clinicians, researchers, and patients.

The 2023 KeraClub was held on Thursday 9th November 2023 as an online event.

The KeraClub 2023 was co-hosted by Save Sight Institute and Sydney Nano Institute at the University of Sydney, along with Keratoconus Australia.

The latest advancements in keratoconus management were featured. Topics discussed include:

  • My eyes and I (a reflection on keratoconus and mental health)
  • An update on contact lenses for keratoconus
  • Patient support and why you should be involved

The speakers included:

  • Professor Stephanie Watson OAM, A/Prof Gregory Harper, Dr Margaret Lam, Dr Gurvinder Singh, Mr Larry Kornhauser OAM, and Dr Himal Kandel. The event was chaired by Ms Michelle Pritchard.
